Pam is a Registered Nurse with more than 35 years of experience across clinical practice, senior healthcare leadership, and post-secondary education. She currently teaches in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Douglas College. A former Pony Club member and parent to four Pony Club alumni, Pam brings valuable skills in curriculum development, policy writing, contract negotiation, and not-for-profit budgeting. She is also a Canadian Armed Forces Officer in the Air Cadet organization and enjoys life on her Pitt Meadows farm.

Joanne is a lifelong equestrian and practicing veterinarian working at Hastings Racecourse and as a small-animal locum. She previously served as President of the College of Veterinarians of BC and contributed to several provincial and national veterinary committees. Joanne has been involved with Pony Club for many years as a parent and volunteer, including four years as BCLM Regional Chair. She enjoys trail riding, driving, and supporting her daughter’s eventing pursuits, and is deeply committed to strengthening Pony Club’s programs and community.

Tracy has been actively involved with Pony Club since 2011, volunteering in nearly every branch and regional role, including Regional Vice Chair and Chairing multiple committees. She has organized and served as entry secretary for numerous regional events and spent eight years on the BC Horse Council Executive Board, building strong connections within the provincial horse community. All four of Tracy’s children participated in Pony Club, with two now competing at the international two-star level in eventing. She brings extensive experience in governance, event coordination, and youth programming.

She has managed complex capital projects across the Lower Mainland and brings strong skills in budgeting, reporting, and operational structure. Crystal has volunteered in Pony Club for many years, serving at both the branch and regional levels, and is passionate about creating organized, sustainable systems that support youth programming. She balances her professional work with family life, horses, and extensive volunteer commitments.

Dr. Theresa Burns is the Chief Veterinarian for the Province of British Columbia and brings extensive leadership experience in veterinary medicine, epidemiology, and animal health policy. Her career includes work in clinical practice, animal health research, national and provincial disease surveillance, and regulatory oversight. As BC’s Chief Veterinarian, she provides guidance on animal welfare, livestock health, biosecurity, and emerging disease management, and she is committed to supporting safe, responsible engagement with animals across the province. Theresa brings a valuable, science-based perspective to BCLM and is passionate about strengthening youth education in horsemanship and animal care.

Kim is a Registered Veterinary Technologist with a focus on emergency and critical care. She teaches in the Veterinary Technologist Program at Douglas College, including large-animal instruction, and serves on the board of the BC Veterinary Technologists Association as Student Liaison. Kim owns a hobby farm where she enjoys pleasure riding her off-track Standardbred and Highland Ponies, and she brings a thoughtful, educational perspective to Pony Club.
